Rim Rock Ranch — "Rimrock Ranch is a magical place located in the majestic high-desert on a 11 acre ranch, studded with flowering cactus, spectacular sunsets, faraway coyote howls, and unpretentious cowboy cool. We booked the entire place for our wedding last June and are so grateful we did!" Originally built as the weekend retreat for western actors like Gene Autry and Roy Rogers.
Le Haut Desert Aerie — The Aerie offers a breath-taking setting for a variety of personal & corporate special events. Ceremonies ~ Receptions ~ Memorials ~ Corporate Retreats~ Private Parties. A unique desert sanctuary located on 40 acres. They can accommodate parties up to 150 and offer on-site accommodations for up to 20 people.
Homestead Modern No. 1 — Walking distance from Pappy & Harriets, this property features a unique, modern one-bedroom “main” house, a separate detached casita, as well as a vintage travel trailer on the property. They can accommodate events with up to 50 people.
Pipes Canyon Lodge and Retreat Center — Rustic elegance, boulders, views, stars and 18 private acres at the base of majestic Black Lava Butte.
Historic Pioneertown Soundstage — One of the original, historic Pioneertown structures, the Soundstage is now available for weddings and other private events. This 6000 square foot barn type building is undergoing a loving restoration. Currently, approximately 4200 square feet are available for your special event. If rustic and old west are what you are looking for, you found it.
Joshua Tree Wedding Venues
Sacred Sands — We are a small Inn located in Joshua Tree, just outside the west entrance of Joshua Tree National Park. This venue is ideally situated to capture magnificent mountain and desert valley views while it’s unique architecture and design lends to the feeling of being a “hacienda” or “outpost” in the rough high desert landscape. Featuring both indoor & outdoor rooms & spaces, this intimate setting is ideal for elegantly rustic weddings and events for up to 130 people.
The Desert Lily’s Love-Love — The hi-desert is full of cool places, so what makes Love-Love so special? It’s an all-inclusive venue. They have almost everything you need for your wedding already on site! A bohemian venue perfect for rustic/romantic wedding ceremonies and receptions. Beautiful panoramic views of Joshua Tree National Park.
Thunderbird Lodge Retreat —They can accommodate intimate indoor events as well as outdoor gatherings. Incredible 360-degree desert views for miles and dark skies for epic stargazing.
The Joshua Tree Inn — With a recently built stage by the pool area, the Joshua Tree Inn is now hosting weddings. This eclectically decorated 1950s Hacienda Style inn is the site of the legendary Gram Parsons Room, where the beloved and respected musician/songwriter spent his last hours.
Mojave Sands — The motel was built in the 50's, and hosts just five rooms. It has been called "an Eco-chic Moroccan Desert Refuge, celebrating modern-minimalism". The motel is truly a unique and special place to stay. The common grounds are enclosed by solid sheets of rusted metal and salvaged wood.
Hicksville Trailer Palace — This “trailer-park” motel is great for fun, quirky, and intimate weddings. Theme-inspired trailers, including a bar trailer for events, mini golf, fire pits and more.
Spin and Margie’s Desert Hideaway — A Beautiful Boutique Joshua Tree Lodging. Part mexican hacienda, part artists palette. Just five minutes from the national park.
Green Acres Ranch — Green Acres Ranch features two artistic and cozy cabins on ten acres of desert scenery, surrounded by mountains, boulder formations, washes and wildlife. They accommodate a couple of small weddings of up to 80 people at the ranch each year.
Joshua Tree Lake RV & Campground — This rustic retreat destination offers many beautiful areas to celebrate your love, with spaces for any size of gathering, whether your guest list is substantial or quaint.
Yucca Valley Wedding Venues
The Ruin Venue — A private, rustic outdoor wedding venue in the remains of an old stone house where a gold miner lived about a hundred years ago. Just across the road, “The Inn at The Ruin” is opening soon with a bridal suite and room for 8 guests.
Dream Catcher Ranch — Dream Catcher Ranch is a unique and Artistic place unlike any other for Reunions, family vacations, friend gatherings, Weddings, Events, location shoots, photography shoots. They can accommodate up to 100 wedding guests.
Rock Reach House — Rock Reach House has been the site of some very memorable special-occasion events, including weddings, elopements, and anniversary parties. The property does presents several challenges for such events given the modest size of the house, the single bathroom, the narrow dirt-road access, limited parking and sensitive topography of the surrounding landscape. However, events that are sensitively planned can be very successful. (25 people or less).
Cactus Moon Retreat — This mid-century jewel has a private yoga studio, fire pit, bbq, pool and detached converted horse stable pool house on 2.5 acres of Mojave desert. It can accommodate events of up to 50 people.
Echo Ranch House — A semi-secluded 1966 Bungalow on 6 acres of raw and natural desert land. The interior is hip with a Boho Cali Vibe. Intimate weddings of up to 50, the owners are in the event industry and know how to curate a rad event.
The Talawahee — 160 acres of untouched desert land, 160 acre ranch located in Yucca Valley that offers breathtaking boulders, starlit skies, and valleys filled with pinion pines, scrub oak, giant juniper, mesquite, Joshua trees, and yuccas. Whatever the event, The Talawahee can accommodate to almost anything.
Twentynine Palms Wedding Venues
29 Palms Inn — Located on an oasis, with both outdoor and indoor ceremony and reception sites, a catering team providing support from event planning to implementation, plus 23 guest rooms and spa services for the bridal party. Across our 70-acre property beside the Joshua Tree National Park you will find plenty of room to roam and relax. Rather than be dazzled by man's accomplishments, you'll be bewildered by natures.

There are only a few places to get cakes and desserts here in the high desert. You can also get a cake in the Palm Springs or Palm Desert area or bring one along with you if you are traveling from within Southern California.
The Natural Sisters Cafe — Joshua Tree, CA
Their vegan carrot cake is delicious and makes a great wedding cake — everyone enjoyed it at our wedding! They also have great pies and other baked goods.
Paradise Farm & Bakery — Yucca Valley, CA
From traditional wedding cakes, this home-kitchen bakery offers organic, gluten-free, vegan and other specialty options.
Joshua Tree Wedding Company — Joshua Tree, CA

Many of the local high desert restaurants also provide catering services. You can also find caterers in the low desert — Palm Desert, etc who will drive up to the high desert.
The Vow Keeper — A local officiant here in the Joshua Tree area and a wealth of information and resources about the logistics of getting married up here.
Wedding in the Desert — Another Joshua Tree local, Celene is an ordained, non-denominational wedding minister. She will work with you to craft a ceremony as alternative or traditional as you and that reflects who you are.
Joshua Tree Wedding Company — Charlie is an ordained, non-denominational minister creating personalized wedding ceremonies with a a native touch, including smudge sticks made of white sage and lavender. Before each wedding, she meets with the couple to find out about their love story and creates the ceremony based on their own words and experiences.
LA Wedding Woman — Although the company is based in LA, the co-founder Arielle Haze lives here in the high desert. They offer everything from customized ceremony packages to “Quick I Do” elopements and can even provide the marriage license so that you don’t have to go to the courthouse.
Many of the low desert officiants will also drive up to officiate weddings in the area. If you have a friend or family member who is a minister or clergy they can officiate and do not need to be registered in any official capacity with the state. You can also have a friend or family member become a deputy marriage commissioner for the day through the County Clerk’s office and marry you.
Wedding photographers worldwide are usually excited about the chance to shoot in Joshua Tree, and often photographers throughout Southern California will travel here with minimal travel fees. However, we have some talented photographers right here in the high desert.

DJ Alf Alpha — As well as playing private parties and weddings, DJ Alf Alpha has played Coachella, the Joshua Tree Music Festival, the Splash House Festival and many other events in the High Desert and Coachella Valley, including a monthly residency at the Hard Rock Palm Springs.
You do not need to be a California (or US) resident to get married in California but you will need to get a marriage license from a California County Clerk’s office. You can get one from any County Clerk in California. Marriage licenses are valid for 90 days from the date of issuance.
As of February 2017, you can now get marriage licenses in Joshua Tree! The recorder service hours are Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10 to noon and 1 to 3 p.m. Marriage certificates and licenses are by appointment only.
